Making an everyday object look beautiful

To go along with the post below, this is an example of making an object that is plain, ignored and quite frankly, pretty ugly into an interesting, beautiful idea. This is my air conditioning unit, I was messing around with my camera in my backyard and noticed the lines from the top and insides of the unit and thought it looked cool. Using my macro lens I got in close and the results were pretty amazing. Who knew an air conditioner could look this way. Check out facebook posts to view the photo.

Macro Lens - Cylburn Arboretum

The black swallowtails were so quick, it was nearly impossible to get a picture of one staying still! Full album up on Flickr, see my facebook post for more details!

Uploaded photos from last Friday's photo shoot at Cylburn Arboretum. I was lucky to spot yellow and black swallowtails,...

BLUE MOON

There was a blue moon on Friday (second full moon in a month)! I decided to try taking some photos with my zoom lens. I had a lot of fun out there despite the bugs. Got some neat photos. See my facebook post to view the images. I definitely wish I had a longer zoom lens, the amount of details you can capture from so far away is quite amazing!

Did any of you notice the moon on Friday?! It was a blue moon (second full moon in a month). Despite getting eaten alive...
