I had a short trip to Nags Head in the Outer Banks for some r&r. While there, I was fortunate enough that my lodging was right on the beach! It had spectacular views from the balcony. I spent a lot of time on the beach exploring Jennette's Pier, capturing surfers competing in the OBX Pro surfing competition, and lastly some night shooting. I learned a lot on this trip, and excited for the next stop I will make! Take a look at my facebook post to view the full album.
The Outer Banks holds a special place in my heart, as I've been traveling here since an infant. The beaches and calm atmosphere let you unwind and escape the hectics of life for a bit. Some of my favorite places to visit while in the OBX area include Jockey's Ridge, Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, deserted beaches, Ocracoke Island, lighthouses, and much more. Check out my facebook post to view the photos I've captured over the years!
Long Beach Island is a great spot to kick back and relax. I had a ton of fun capturing my surroundings which were filled with beautiful sunsets, flowers and more. The beaches are long and not very crowded. The town itself has a lot of great shops (Italian Markets, cheese shop) and attractions. There is a light house you can climb, located at the end of the island. Overall, great beach town!
